We have a vibrant and dynamic team of camp facilitators who will not come to lecture but guide you as you explore your talents in different fields. We shall also have role models and celebrity figures who will give talks in the camp and at the wrap up party back in Nairobi where we will showcase the work produced in the camp.
At the end of the camping experience, you will have gained skills in problem based and experiential learning, you will have added more songs and dancing steps to your creative store, understood the principals and secrets to simple and awesome photography and film, experienced the cultures of the communities in the Rift Valley, experienced wild life and played water sports on the beautiful lake Elemantaita and most of all experienced the Kenyan diversity through fellow campers and helpful facilitators.
Please make sure you register early due to space limitations and feel free to contact us for further inquiries.

Location
This year's Creative Arts Camp will take place at Eagles Point on the beautiful Lake Elementaita. The camp is 126 miles from Nairobi, Kenya just before St. Mary's hospital. The camp offers a fantastic view of the sleeping warrior volcanic cones, below which are hot springs that participants will be able to swim in.
In 2011, Lake Elementaita, together with lakes Bogoria and Nakuru, was accepted as Kenya's 5th world heritage site after Lamu Stonetown, the Kaya Forests, Mt Kenya National Park and Lake Turkana National Park. A world heritage site belongs to the global community, not just the Kenyan government, and such the newly accorded status of the Kenya Lakes system recognizes the importance of the biodiversity in the region and the need to conserve 75% of the Lesser Flamingos in the world that Lake Elementaita supports.
Lake Elementaita is geothermically heated, which informs the diversity of birds and mammals that call this region home. Home to more than 400 different bird species, from Great white pelicans to the iconic pink flamingos, the lake, only 1.5 meters deep at its deepest, supports some of nature's most beautiful creatures. Yet in recent years, parts of the lake have dried up as surrounding communities use some of the water for irrigation needs. Flamingos are crowded on a smaller portion of the lake and the ecosystem is in dire need of an ecological intervention. While efforts by Kenyan conservationists mitigate the situation, Interacteam's philosophy when traveling to any region is to open a dialogue with the local communities and creatively engage in environmentally conscious efforts.
