Rogers D. Otieno
Founder of Interacteam Media, Rogers Otieno is an Executive Director, producer, radio personality, writer and performer. He has been instrumental in shaping the Kenyan film and theatre scenes. He has trained more than 1,200 practitioners over the last three years in large part with Keith Pearson’s The Theater Company as director in charge of training and workshops. Rogers has acted in numerous productions for the theater and film, locally and internationally, including lead roles in the MNET’s seriesThe Agency, KBC’s Block D and NTV’s Higher Learning. He has directed and produced a large number of highly acclaimed screen and stage plays, including his original play My Moving Home, performed in English, Swahili and Sheng to much critical acclaim. He was the first male radio presenter for the popular 89.5 Ghetto radio station. In April 2012, Rogers represented Kenya internationally at the first Sundance Institute Creative Lab for Stage directors held in Addis Ababa. Rogers is the current co–founder and chairman of The Kenya Actors and Crew Society (Guild). In all his endeavors, Rogers seeks to empower others to explore all their talents to their fullest potential.
Aida Mbowa
Head facilitator of Interacteam Creative Arts Camp 2012, Aida is a theater director, a performing artist and a PhD candidate for a dual degree in Drama and Humanities at Stanford University in California. Splitting her time between the West coast of the U.S and East Africa, Aida recently represented Uganda at the Sundance Institute's first director's lab in Ethiopia. While writing her dissertation on East Africa and African America cultural politics and performance during the 1950s, 1960s and 1970s, Aida also teaches her own course "Africa in the African American Imaginary" at Stanford University. She was trained in classical acting at the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Arts and received a BA in Performance and Identity Studies from Mount Holyoke College in Massachusetts. She currently has several creative projects in the works, and works to direct and produce performances by East African artists around the world.
Jackson Atulo
Dance and choreography facilitator, Jackson teaches contemporary, Afro fusion and traditional dance under his own company––Bunifu Arts Company. His transition to choreography in 2008 had been long over due having danced and played percussion since he was a young boy. Since then he has produced pieces that have toured France, Spain, Belgium and Slovenia. He has twice been awarded residency at the prestigious Ecole Des Sable in Senegal and dance laboratory under the Gaara Project. He has been trained by internationally renown artists and partaken in numerous East African festival. Currently, Jackson is producing an enchanting piece called 'Oluchendo - The Journey.'
Philippa Ndisi-Herrmann
Film and photography facilitator, Philippa is a rising star in the world of Kenyan and international film and photography. Having trained and worked in the Netherlands, France, Ethiopia, Zambia, Kenya and South Africa, Philippa defines herself “an aesthete, an artist and an african.” Her short film, an experimental folk-tale, Gubi- The Birth of Fruit has been screened at numerous film festivals worldwide, notably, FESPACO 2009, and The Pan African Film Festival Los Angeles. Her photography has been exhibited in New York, commissioned by the Sundance Institute and at le Rustique in Nairobi, Kenya. Philippa recently ventured into directing Music videos, and produced Room for Me (2011) by Just A Band & Jahcoozi and Believer (2012) by Jahawi and Kevin Samuel. She was recently awarded development funding by the Gothenburg Film Fund for her documentary, We Want Development. Philippa is working towards her first narrative feature film, Two Princes. The film will be shot largely on the Islamic island of Lamu. Philippa is based in her hometown of Nairobi, Kenya where she practices as a filmmaker and photographer.
Asali Msanii
Poetry and music facilitator, Asali Msanii is a star musician, actress, song writer and spoken word artist based in Nairobi and always on the road. She has performed in innumerable national and private functions that are important to Kenya and widely toured Europe, and America winning acclaim for her powerful music voice as well as acting prowess. Apart from being one of the most prolific artists in Kenya, Asali (honey) devotes her time to train children living in Kibera and Mathare slums through Annos Africa and is a caring mother of a little girl.
Kevin Chagala
Percussionist facilitator, Kevin carries the prestigious title of custodian of Kenyan culture from the government. Indeed he is a phenomenal percussionist and skillful in repairing and making instruments, having traveled widely with various renown companies such as Salto Jamboree , The Arts Canvas, African Heritage, Radi troup, among others .He currently offers drumming and percussion lessons in schools such as International School Of Kenya, Braeburn, the Dutch School and the French school.
farrah bhaijee
Brand and Project Manager, Farrah Baijee is an author, a filmmaker and Interacteam Media’s key program implementer. She is a graduate of Aga Khan Academy’s class of 2010. While a student there she represented the Academy in the Service Summit Africa held in 2009 in Uganda. An athlete, Farrah played and represented her school in numerous sports, including, rounders, basketball, field hockey and football. After graduation, she created, directed and acted in her first film, PS. We were Bored. Farrah has been signed by Lesleigh Inc. agents to write several books in the course of the upcoming year. In addition, she is the co–producer and script editor of the pilot episode of the forthcoming tv series, Jambaz. Governed by a diligent work ethic and passion for creativity in the arts, Farrah lives each day believing in the potential of empowered youth. A leader by example, her actions prove that the youth are capable of a lot more than society credits them for.

Camp business manager, Christian has worked in financial services, management consulting and conducted research in the U.S., Spain, Indonesia and Kenya. He holds an MBA from IESE Business School, Spain and a BA in Philosophy and Economics from the University of Tulsa, USA. He is passionate about promoting African artistic ventures to an international platform.

Jane nduku
Jane is currently a mass communication and journalism student with an emphasis in radio for development communication. She has also studied International Relations and Business Management. She is a patron for various youth groups that deal with waste disposal and management. She is a global play worker with a passion for collecting and documenting children’s games from around the world. As a trained gamer, she likes to share her knowledge in cooperative games for social change and engages corporate organizations for team building activities to get people to work together through cooperative games. Social work and volunteerism has been part of her life for the last 6 years. Having been trained in psycho-therapy, she engages the mentally and physically disabled through dance and movement. She is also a communication skills trainer at a local drug treatment and rehabilitation center for young people addicted to drugs. She is in the process of creating a directory for youth-led and youth serving organizations in the coastal region of Kenya.

Francesca Pim-Kaime
Camp patron, Francesca Pam will host the Interactive Creative Arts Camp on her property in Lake Elementaita. Francesca Is the head of history and a careers counselor at Greensteds International School. She is an environmentalist cum eco-guide and runs a camping site adjacent to lake Elementaita. Along with being an avid reader and a writer, Francesca loves theatre and supports upcoming artists. The mother to two adults lives with her husband in Elementaita.
